I LOVE MY EYEBROWS

Five years ago, the words, "I love my eyebrows" never existed in my heart, thoughts, let alone my mouth!! Growing up I was always made fun of, compared to my twin sis, compared to my bro and others in regards to school and etc. So, i grew up with low self esteem. No one knew, now I think about it, i didnt know.
 

EARLY HIGH CHOOL
Early in high school a friend of ours (me and my sis) introduced us to these eyebrow shavers. She accidently cut the end tail of one of my eyebrows. We would use these shavers and leg shavers everytime we seen hairs coming in. (I hate tweezers). Then we discovered WAX! In senior year we were at nail shop waiting our turn, not only for nails but wax eyebrows. A lady also was waiting and she was telling us how she doesn't have to get waxed or worry anymore because the more and more she went her hair just never grew in anymore. I figured once i get a job I'll keep up shaving and wax so i too could get a permanent arch. After my brows were done for prom, i remeb.asking my date what he thought and he said i was cool w/o them and even more cool w/them. So you know, it made me think I was beautiful with new eyebrows. Lol.

SHE CHANGED THE GAME 
We met ms Ciena who did our make up and she was awesome and did our wax the best at the time. But she encouraged something in me. She always said "they're sisters not twins" about eyesbrows. People will try to take the individuality out of each brow to make them look the same which is not the case.

DID HE JUST SAY WHAT I THINK HE SAID?
Well, i start my relationship with Christ in 2006 after i graduated high school. Ms Tira was my next go to person! Only her n my sis were the ONLY ones with permission to touch my face. 2010 getting ready for a mission trip, my eyebrows were growin in noticeably and the Lord challenged me to NOT get them done ANYMORE! I FREAKED OUT!!! No more jewelry either! That process, He had to teach me and show me that I was trying to find my identity in the way i looked, my eyebrows, my jewelry when He has created me beautiful ALREADY! He wanted to show me what loving myself truly meant! He brought to LIFE the scripture David wrote Ps.139:14 I am fearfully and WONDERFULLY made, marvelous are Your works, and THAT my SOUL knows VERY well!! " I remb.getting off work and a random guy came up to me memorized saying please let me do your eyebrows! They're so thick and beautiful. Im a barber. He pulled out his barber razor and brought his daughters saying heres my work. I'll do yours free lol. Of course i told him no. Even today people close tell me to wax them. I smile and I'm ok. Not offended because I know who I am. 

DESIRE IS GONE!
Its so crazy because God has released me to shave or wax them if I want wear jewlry if I like to. But the desire isn't there anymore. I'll jewelry when I feel like it. Not because I think I have to anymore. Its an accessory. Not who i am. Now days everyone want thick eyebrows! 

MORAL OF THE STORY:
Lol moral of the story: you ARE beautiful ALREADY! You don't need to fix anything that isn't broken! Fall in LOVE with God and He will show you WHO YOU ARE! You're identity is in Him! He loves you!!! Don't be afraid of what others think. It's not important. But, others SEE you JUST as you see YOURSELF! you are BEAUTIFUL and an ORIGINAL Master PIECE! Don't lose yourself in the things that doesn't matter or isn't true! Don't change or lose who you are! You may gain a person's approval that can change within an instant, but God and His constant ever unchanging love will be losing the only thing that makes you YOU! You are UNIQUE! Created for and in His GLORY! So please remember this next time you look in the mirror! Ask God to help you see what HE sees all along! Only YOU can be YOU! No one can be you like YOU! Remb.that!
